Chronology of Achievements

·        Received his Bachelor of Economics in 1967 from the

University of Wales in the UK.

·        Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, England in 1971. 

·        He has been in professional practice ever since. 

·        In 1984 Joseph Tavana qualified as a Chartered Accountant in

Ontario and established his accounting practice in that same year.

·        Established Datawhiz Information Systems Inc. to provide

consulting on microcomputer based accounting software since 1985.

·        In 1997 completed parts I & II of the in-depth tax course of the

Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. A course designed

for accountants and lawyers specializing in tax.

·        In 1998 successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.

A course for individuals wishing to specialize in investments.

·        Passed the CFP (Certified Financial Planners) examination in 1998.

·        In 1999 completed the International Tax Course of the Canadian

Institute of Chartered Accountants.

·        In 2002 completed Part III of the in-depth tax course of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

·     In 2003 designed, developed and published a number of financial software packages. For more information click here.
